When you want to ask medical questions, don't be unsure of yourself! Long gone are the days when your family physician would make a house call at any time of the day or night to assist to your illness. Now adays, if you're two minutes late for a scheduled appointment, you might not be seen that day! Doctors seem to have more patients than can be examined in a day. You realize that you're not likely to get more than a couple of precious minutes of your doctor's personal attention. Thats why youd better come prepared. When you've scheduled an appointment, you cannot can't be shy Be prepared to ask medical questions that will give you a comprehensive picture that addresses all your problems.

A few days before your appointment, compile a list of questions you need answered. When I was a kid, it would take my mother and four nurses to hold me down to give me a shot, I've always feared the doctor's office. Even now, I feel scared the minute I see all those white coats and am put in the doctor's examining room. My blood pressure takes an immediate jump. Therefore, Ive finally learned to ask medical questions and get my money's worth. I invest a few minutes in making a list, so I dont forget that one important item. It's worth the trouble.

I set out by doing my research online. Let's say that you have arthritis. Although there are millions of other people afflicted with this very same condition, doctors examine dozens of cases each day. But youre the patient hurting. When you question your doctor about particular areas of your body that are causing you problems, you require complete answers that concern you. You don't want to be given a 'cheat sheet' of generalized information. To avoid this unintentional dusting off, do your research.

A good place for to begin is a Yahoo search, such as 'ask medical questions arthritis'. You'll get many results, mainly from the conventional medical doctors. Click through to see what answers you can find. For instance, if cold weather makes your fingers hurt terribly, see what you can find out about possible causes and treatments. Print this information and mark portions you don't understand so you can ask medical questions during your exam to shed some light on the problem at your appointment.

Now do a search on 'arthritis nutrition'. See what you can discover about foods and nutrients that might make you feel better. SearchExplore 'alternative healing arthritis'. Perhaps acupuncture or minerals could give you some relief. Print everything you find, highlighting points for clarification by your doctor.

An even better solution is to email your information to your physician a couple of days prior to of your scheduled appointment Make a list of questions you'd like from your doctor during your appointment.

When you ask medical questions that are specific and pertinent, both you and your physician save time. Don't be shy, it's your health!
